The residents of this stately home desperately needed a stair lift solution, they just didn’t want it to be seen. So, rather than a cookie-cutter standard solution, we took the time to understand both the clients wants and needs. In the end we proposed a custom Handicare Free-curve with tight radius upper and lower park stations. The single tube track of the Free-curve is much cleaner looking than competitive dual track alternatives. We then took the extra step of custom painting both the track and the chair so as to blend into the existing decor. As a result, the stair lift blends in beautifully with its surroundings and looks as though it has always been there. Our client is delighted with both the function and the appearance. Their comment echoed one we often hear, “We should have done this a long time ago.” Aesthetically, speaking, it looks as though they did.
Function vs. Focus
